- Ask students to open their St’s Book on P29.
- Ask sts to look at their book, draw sts’ attention to the sound of the letters oo as in afternoon and that of the letters br as in brush
- Get sts repeat these words few times.

- Ask sts to open their St’s Book on P29. Get sts to read the instruction and make sure they understand it. Ask them to guess all the complete words and do the first example with sts.
- Set time and get sts to work independently.
- Have sts check their answers in pairs. Ask some sts to report their answers to the class.

- Get sts to open their book on P30, tell them the purpose of listening: This is an interview of four sts at Rose Primary School. The interviewer wants to know about their school activities. You’re going to listen to the recording and number. Get sts to focus on the addresses and their order as they hear.
- Point to each pic and elicit their answers: What do you see in the pics a/b/c/d?
- Play the recording twice: once to listen all, once for do the task. Replay to check answer.
- Get sts to check their answers in pairs, ask them to report to the class, if there is any disagreement, play the recording to check
