Call on some sts go to the board and practice greeting and responding. New lesson Listen and repeat. Put a large piece of paper with the words written on it on the board. ‘city Linda lives in a ‘city. ‘village My best friend lives in a ‘village ‘mountains I live in the ‘mountains ‘tower He lives in a tall and quite ‘tower Produce the words a few times. Ask Sts to listen to the tape and mime the sounds a few times. Play the record again and ask Sts to repeat each line. Ask two Sts to the front of the class. Have one repeat each line, the other mime its meaning. Ask Sts to practice saying and miming the chant in groups. Monitor the activity, check pronunciation and offer Sts help when necessary. Ask two Sts to recite and mime. Listen and correct mistakes, pay attention to the rhythm an the pronunciation. Listen and circle. Then write and say aloud. Ask Sts to look at the task and introduce how to do the task. Set the sense: Scan 3 sentences, now listen to the tape to take information, then, complete the blanks by circle the correct answer below. Ask Sts to listen to the tape 2 times and circle the answers. Ask Sts to listen to the tape once again to check the correct answer and remember the sentences. Then complete the sentences and say it aloud. Ask Sts to exchange their answers in groups to do correction. Give the answer: city 2.mountains 3.tower Ask a few questions to check their comprehension. Ask the whole class to repeat each line of the recording in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation. Let’s chant. Where do you live? Show the chant on the board. Order sts read sentences by sentences. Play recording to sts listen and mine. Play recording again to sts listen and mine the chant in chorus. Have students practice to read the chant in groups. And then some groups practice the chant in front of class. Other groups give comments. III. Consolidation. Ask sts produce the word stress. Reread the chant “Where do you live?” IV. Homework. Learn vocabulary and structures by heart. Do exercises B1, C1 in work book Prepare new lesson. Sts practice Look at the paper with the sounds written on it on the board. Listen. New lesson Read and tick Yes or No. Encourage Sts to read the passage and discuss the way to do the exercise. Give the meanings of the vocabulary items: view, centre Ask Sts to read the student’s card and answer the question below. Monitor the activity, check pronunciation and offer Sts help when necessary. Ask some Sts to exchange the answers in pairs. Call two Sts to the front of the class to perform the task while others observe and give comments. Ask a few questions to check their comprehension. Ask the whole class to repeat each line of the recording in chorus to reinforce their pronunciation Write about your friend. Ask Sts to look at the task and introduce how to do the task. Set the sense: look at the task 5. Now you will write some information about your friends following the question in the book. Write about your friend’s name, hometown, address. Ask Sts to do the task individually in 7 minutes. Call on 2 students write about themselves on the board. The other gives comment. Ask Sts to exchange their answers in groups to do correction. Ask a few questions to check their comprehension. Project. Students draw a house and write its address (prepared). Call some sts introduce about the house and its address in front of class. Other listen and give comment. III. Consolidation. Colour the stars. Sts check their knowledge after unit by colour the stars in proportion to amount of star. 1 star = bad; 2 stars = good; 3 star = very good. IV. Homework. Learn vocabulary and structures by heart. Do exercises E and F in work book Prepare new lesson. Sts chant Scan the student’s card and discuss the way to do the exercise. Listen and take note. Read and answer the questions. Developing listening and speaking skills. Languages focus: Vocabularies: Brush teeth, do morning exercise, always, usually, often, sometime. Structure: What do you do __________? I always/ usually/ often ___________. Teaching methods: Communicative approach. Techniques: + Ask and answer (say individually) + Work in pairs/ groups. + Discuss. Teaching aids: Teacher’s aids: student’s and teacher’s book, word cards, pictures, tape, cassette. Students’ aids: books, notebooks, workbooks.
